Hotel Savoia & Jolanda is located on the waterfront of St. Mark's Basin overlooking the lagoon. It's 3 minutes walking to St. Mark's Square and even less to the Doge's Palace. The 4-star accommodation has 51 standard-, superior- and deluxe rooms and junior suites. The restaurant serves Italian cuisine on the terrace overlooking San Giorgio Island.

Reviews on the internet for the Hotel Savoia & Jolanda are very good (8.4). Strongest point is the location to St. Mark's Square and the view on the lagoon. The public water bus stops close to the hotel. Numerous attractions, shops and restaurants are around the hotel. Minor points: standard double rooms are with a size of 9m2 too small (Superior rooms are 21m2).
transportation to the hotel
Most convenient - certainly if you have several bags - is the private water taxi. A water taxi from Marco Polo Airport cost between €90-€110 and takes 35 minutes. The water taxi bring passengers directly to the hotel. The airport bus (€3-€5) and land taxi's (€35) stops at Piazzale Roma. Walking from there to the hotel would take at least an hour (depending how much luggage) and is not recommended. The streets are full with people and bridges must be crossed. Public water bus line 1, 41 and 51 go through the Grand Canal and stop at San Zaccaria which is a few steps from the hotel's entrance. A private water taxi from Piazzale Roma/Santa Lucia train station to the hotel would cost about €65.
