San Basilio
The smaller cruise ships and the ferry line to Croatia depart from San Basilio. The quays (nr 29-31) are located on the banks of the Giudecca Canal.
Coaches from the airport stop at the Piazzale Roma. Closeby is the Santa Lucia train station. From the train/bus station, the public water busses sail through the city. Water bus line 61 sails from Piazzale Roma to Santa Marta and next to San Basilio. It takes 10 minutes from Piazzale Roma to San Basilio. Water bus line 62 sails the opposite direction. Water bus line 2 sails from Piazzale Roma/Santa Lucia via Tronchetto (car parking garages) to San Basilio and St. Mark's Square.
Another choice is to take public water taxi Alilaguna from Marco Polo Airport. The Alilaguna water taxi cost €15 p.p and has a stop at Zattere. From Zattere it's 5 minutes walking to San Basilio.
From Piazzale Roma to San Basilio is not far (1km) but with the narrow streets and canals it can take 30 minutes to walk.
