Riva degli Schiavoni
In the middle, the Campanile tower at St. Mark's Square
Riva degli Schiavoni is the quay along the waterfront of St. Mark's Basin. It was named to the traders from Dalmatia (Schiavonia) who moored at this quay. Riva degli Schiavoni starts at St. Mark's Square to Giardini and is a very popular hiking route in Venice.
Public water bus line 1, 2, 41/42 operate between 'Piazzale Roma', 'Santa Lucia train station' to 'Zaccaria' at Riva degli Schiavoni.
