Two public water busses have stopped at station 'Rialto'. Rialto Hotel is the red building on the left. The white building is Palazzo Manin-Dolfin where the last Doge of Venice lived (1789-1797).

A Classic Double Room including breakfast starts from €116 in November 2011. The Junior Suite with Grand Canal View including breakfast is then €161.

Reviews on the internet for the Rialto Hotel are good (7.6). Strongest point is the fantastic location near the Rialto Bridge and closeby to the main attractions in Venice. It's 600 meter to St. Mark's Square and the area is full with shops and restaurants. The public water bus stops near the door. Hotel guests rated the hotel rooms often as clean but outdated and/or tiny. There is a lift but the split levels in the hotel can be a problem with heavy luggage. Wifi cost €4/hour and €8/day.
transportation
The public water bus lines 1, 2 and N (Night boat) stops 20 meter from the hotel. Line 1 is the most popular water bus route in Venice. It sails between Piazzale Roma (airport bus), along Santa Lucia station, Rialto Bridge to St. Mark's Square and the Lido. In the day hours, this boat comes along every ten minutes at Rialto.
Line 2 and line N operate between Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia but also to Tronchetto (car parking garages) and San Basilio cruise port.
Rialto Hotel Venice
The Grand Canal is a few meters from the hotel. On the left (between the parasols) is a part of the Rialto Bridge.
