    Castello is the largest district (sestiere) of Venice's historic centre. Walking from St. Mark Square on the quay of Riva degli Schiavoni to the Castello district takes about 10-15 minutes. Public waterbus line 1 and 41/42 operate between Piazzale Roma/Santa Lucia train station, St. Mark's Square with a stop at 'Arsenale' in the Castello district.
